Reading the Bible Uncovers the Secrets Hidden in it's Pages.

People are Reading the Bible for a reason. They are looking for something and it is something very important.

It is something they need but are unable to find- search as they may.

Often exhausted, because they have striven with great energy to find the answer that satisfies, people turn to the book that claims to have the answer.

For what are they searching?

(I think that you may be here in order to make a search- not for mere information but for the truth. If you are, then we can make the journey together.)

Let me introduce myself. I am a Christian Pastor and I have been a seeker all my life. It has been a good and long life, but we'll talk about my age later. Right now, let's talk about the journey.

Experience teaches that many people are on a journey- a searching journey- trying to discover the secret to ...

To what?

In one way or another people are searching for the meaning and the purpose (if any!) of their personal and individual lives.

At some point, they arrive at the Bible. Often they come to the Bible more than once. The Bible declares about itself that it is a book that has answers, yes, even divine answers concerning:

  • What we are
  • Who we are
  • What we are to be doing during the time of our lives
  • The meaning of our journey
  • These are the essential questions asked by every Reader of the Bible, by every seeker after the truth.

Even more, the Bible declares that each of us is a unique cosmic creation intended for a specific and special function during our lives.

For those to whom the Bible is an open book, it is evident that the human person is a cosmic creation of a personal God. For others this fact is unseen, not understood and therefore not evident.

The evidence is hidden in the first two chapters of God's word.

The first book of the Bible is Genesis and it presents a message clear and true.

But most seekers are blind to it.

What causes them to be blind? The covering over people's eyes is explained in Genesis. It is a covering that prevents them from seeing what is plain to see.

Genesis is the story of their beginning.

Jesus had a phrase for the problem. He said that people have eyes to see but they see not; and that they have ears to hear but they hear not.

    It is all in Genesis.

And Reading the Bible, starting with Genesis, is a revelation of enormous significance to seekers.

It is a revolutionary revelation which can change our lives, (for the better!)

    and, Yes, even forever.
